I have been thinking of it for some time. So, just joined, and will try to publish the occasional Blog. I am retired from paid work as a physics researcher, lecturer in physics, education officer with DIT/CDVEC, Head of Development & External Services in IT Tallaght. I am a member of the Irish Labour Party and political activist since 1972, and was a Labour Party County Councillor for 11 years until last year. Apart from poloitics, my interests are equality, climate, reading including crime novels, bird watching, sport especially Gaelic Football and Mayo, and Films/TV especially documentaries. My wife Margaret is a full time Artist, our four children are grown up and we have 7 grandchildren from 2 1/2 years to 26 years. If I keep going for another 10 days, I will be 76.
